嘉興市秀州中學(xué)創(chuàng)辦于1900年，是浙江省一級(jí)重點(diǎn)中學(xué)，浙江省現(xiàn)代化學(xué)校，全國(guó)民族團(tuán)結(jié)進(jìn)步模范集體。現(xiàn)有高中教學(xué)班48個(gè)班，教職員工213人，學(xué)生2000余人。

學(xué)校培養(yǎng)出了世界數(shù)學(xué)大師陳省身、諾貝爾物理學(xué)獎(jiǎng)獲得者李政道、中國(guó)“兩彈一星功勛獎(jiǎng)?wù)隆?、“八一勛章”“?guó)家最高科技獎(jiǎng)”獲得者程開(kāi)甲、首譯莎士比亞全集的“譯界楷模”朱生豪、英語(yǔ)教學(xué)大師許國(guó)璋等知名院士及一大批國(guó)內(nèi)外知名學(xué)者和人士。

Introduction to Jiaxing Xiuzhou Middle School

Founded in 1900, Jiaxing Xiuzhou High School is a First-Level Key High School in Zhejiang Province, a modernized school in Zhejiang, and a national model collective for ethnic unity and progress. The school currently has 48 high school classes, 213 faculty and staff members, and over 2,000 students.

Xiuzhou High School upholds the century-old fine tradition of “patriotism, love for the school, democracy, and science.” Guided by the goal of becoming “a modern model high school that is humanistic, research-oriented, international in outlook, and distinctive,” the school follows the educational philosophy: “I am a Xiuzhou High School student, and I will learn to be a better person for my entire life.”

Over the years, the school has nurtured many distinguished figures, including the world-renowned mathematician Chen Xingsheng, Nobel Prize in Physics laureate Li Zhengdao, Cheng Kaijia (recipient of China’s “Two Bombs, One Satellite” Meritorious Medal, the “Order of August 1,” and the “National Highest Science and Technology Award”), Zhu Shenghao (the “model of translation” who first translated the complete works of Shakespeare into Chinese), and the English teaching master Xu Guozhang, as well as numerous other esteemed academicians, scholars, and public figures both in China and abroad.

The school shoulders the important task of national education. In 2006, it began hosting the Xinjiang “Interior High School Classes,” achieving remarkable results in ethnic education.

In recent years, the school has focused on “improving educational quality,” strengthened its sense of urgency, and carried forward the Xiuzhou spirit. It has enhanced team building, improved administrative leadership and teaching abilities, fostered an excellent “Xiuzhouzhong Party Building” brand, heightened service awareness, and reinforced home-school interaction. It has advanced the “Kaijia Teaching” brand by exploring course selection planning and researching teaching management. It has also bolstered the “Xingshen Moral Education” brand, strengthening moral and psychological health education and promoting student self-management. By adhering to the principle of “developing the school through science and education,” the school has reinforced the “Huiren Teacher Development” brand, creating efficient classrooms adapted to new textbooks, the new college entrance examination, and new teaching methods. Meanwhile, it has enhanced the “Fucheng Service” brand, improving educational modernization and campus safety.
